A day for daisys at Aud Sentiments

This week we are happily sponsored by A Day for Daisy's and I love the image that I used.  I really enjoyed playing with the colouring (copics of course) but then I realised how big I printed out the image which didnt leave much left for the rest of the card.. seems to be a theme lately that I make the image the star.. I suppose thats a good idea really.   Can you guess our theme at Aud Sentiments this week?   of course its Happy Easter.   Please visit the challenge blog and all the talented Design Team and don't forget to link up your projects.. there is a generous prize donated by A Day for Daisy's for our lucky winner.

Buttons at Card makin Mama's

Are you like me and a bit addicted to buttons.. before donating clothes I check out the buttons and have to decide.. donate clothes.. pinch the buttons... or... Breathe... relax and let the buttons go.
This week at Card Makin Mama's we are happily sponsored by Digital Delights and I got to use Little Dumpling as my image.
This card is earmarked for a couple that is due to have a baby in 9 weeks.. a little girl to be named Evie.
Im playing with ribbon on the moment, i have so much of it and im enjoying using it in alternate ways, instead of placing it straight across the page.
Ive really missed my copics, so this was a joy to colour..

Im going to play in the Make it Monday challenge where its always anything goes

My second card is using a Gorjuss Girl rubber stamp.
This card was made with a dear friends daughter in mind.  I was overseas this year on her birthday and she was a bit put out that she didnt get a card from me.   I have never really thougth that kids notice or care about such things, but I was horrified to think she noticed she didnt get one.  So this is for her.. a full 2 months belated but made with lots of love!

This fits in perfectly with the Anything Goes with a button challenge at Totally Gorjuss.

So are you inspired to play with some buttons with your next card, im interested to see how you use them on your projects, I tend to like to use them with ribbon or twine but i would love to see what other ideas are out there, to add buttons to our projects!~
Dont forget to link up your projects over on the challenge blog.

Cooking it up

This week at Cooking it up with Katie we were asked to Emboss, Stitch and Punch.  I wanted to use all Kaszazz products and especially this beautiful OLD BEAR (904LK) stamp, he is one of my favourites.  Its actually quite nice getting back into stamping with ink, instead of Digital stamps all the time.  That said though... My copics are missing me.. I must make it a goal to colour with Copics today!

You have to look closely at my project to see the embossing but I promise its there.  I embossed with the Kaszazz plate Round Dance (5048) and then distressed over the top with Distress Ink Brushed Cord.
the whole project was distressed with Brushed Cord and a little Walnut Stain.   The Paper was one from my stash and I quite liked just showing a little of it with the crown its from teh World Traveller papers (4886).
I had a bit of an issue with ribbon, I only had red and decided that I could stain it with distress ink... well I can tell you.. it takes forever to dry if you drag it through an ink pad... its probably still wet as I type!   As you can see, the flower is still wet too.. as im trying to match it to the card and for some reason its turning pink.. I think ill make another flower as that one is frustrating me!

I nearly started all over again with this card, it has a few things on it there were bugging me and then I decided that craft isnt a perfect science and little mistakes make things individual!

Im playing in Clearly Istamp - Anything Goes challenge and Sassy Cheryls are you seeing spots (my spots are in the embossing on the background of the card.

Please head on over to the Cooking it up blog and link up your creations using our recipe of Emboss, punch and stitch!

Messy Inky fingers

Ive been crafting today and made up two cards, the flowers on the second card turned out so much darker than I expected but I like them.. they do overwhelm the project though.  This is for a 13yr old friend of my daughters.. officially teenager today!! woohho.  The upper card is for a card swap im participating in, and the rules are to use ALL KASZAZZ products.   I used lots and lots of Kaszazz products.. Distress Ink, Distress emboss powder, stamps, and even vellum.. I had a ball making this.. and im reluctant to let it go to its new owner.. but oh well.. I shall post it off and be happy in the fact that the process of creating it inspired me!
