Aifactory challenge 42 - Red White and Blue

Here I am sitting at home in the cold temperatures of an Australian Winter fully well knowing that those of my crafting friends that live in the USA are getting ready to celebrate Independence Day.   I had this in mind when I chose the theme of RED WHITE and BLUE for the Aifactory Challenge this week.  I am sure there are many crafters out there that will play along this week!  Head on over to the Challenge Blog and get your entries in for a chance to win this wonderful Digital Clip art set Stars and Stripes.

here is what I came up with.  Yippee I got to play some more with my Digital Scrapbook Artist Program!

I used several elements from the kit provided and then grabbed a freebie digital paper from the store.  The paper kit is called Pretty Jane.  I quite like the end result.

So time to get creative, remember red, white and blue.  You dont have to use Aifactory Images to play along but we would love it if you did!  Grab a freebie from the store if you need one and then link up your creations at the challenge blog!

Challenge 40 - Distress it with the Aifactory

Over at the Aifactory this week we are all just so distressed, we can't help outselves .. ripping and tearing and inking up our projects... very very distressing!!  Can you guess the theme I chose this week?  If you thought ... Distress it  your correct!

The design team got to choose from these images both of which you can find in the store, just click on the pictures and you will be whisked off to the AIF Store:-
I was all excited about our theme which I chose weeks ago.. then I saw the angles of the image and thought...hmm how to i make this old and distressed...
here is what I came up with.  I tore, ripped, inked, embossed and aged..  I actually like the finished product and will end up using this one for a male card, which are often quite hard to make (in my opinion).
If you would like to participate in the challenge this week (and lets face it.. who doesnt like ripping things up) head on over to our challenge blog and play along.  You can grab a freebie at the store to play along with too.
The winning participant will win one of the images the DT got to use this week!

Wow... Mia from Aifactory is tempting us all with a pop up freebie for 24hrs only (and we are already running out of time)
http://aifactorychallenges.blogspot.com/ has all the details!!~  she is giving away a month membership to her kit club for those who find the secret code... Im not sure if numbers are limited so hurry!!!!

This week at the Aifactory the DT got Ella at Peace to play with, if you would like a chance to win this image why not play along in the AIFACTORY Challenge this week.   If you require images to play with why not visit vault and grab some freebies

I got to work out the new Gazelle cutter and its laser eye and did this awesome print and cut!
Check out how close the cut is to the outline!  I am in love with this machine.  Blows my pazzles which has caused me grief out of the park!
I put in an enlarged version of the file cut so you can see it, and see why i am so thrilled.

Now for the challenge of the week.
Anything goes and add a punch

very very very easy theme this week so I would love to see loads of people playing along.

Paper, shelves and cutting

Testing out the new cutter this morning I made this card up, if i paper piece again I would ink up the edges to make the pieces pop off the page!

What else.. oh my husband went to IKEA and found these shelves for my crafting supplies, we are going to get more and take the shelves a bit further along the wall.

Then I have my wardrobe that used to have an avalanche warning when the door was opened!
I have cleaned it up a bit more since this photo was taken, but its a big improvement!  it was shoved full of fabric and clutter.  Now its purely bear making and card making supplies.
The top of the wardrobe was filled with years worth of magazines, those are now half on ebay and half ready for garage sales.  I decided just to pile up the mags at a garage sale for 50cents each and if that fails the school fete has first dibs!

Only EBAY.. I have nearly reached my goal of making enough money to pay for the new cutter!  I am $8 off target with 3 days to go!  wooohooo.

Aifactory Challenge-Animals and a brad

This week is my first time as DT coordinator for Aifactory,
the wonderful Mia gave us a lovely image to play with and it can be found over at the Vault
 (waiting for the link..)

Don't forget you can grab freebies at the vault too, the freebies section is always expanding at the store!

I kept my project very simple.. I was originally aiming for a boy's card but I soon changed my mind when my whale suddenly was pink!!
I used my bow easy for the double bow and I finally jumped into my stash of brads for this challenge.. I rarely use brads.. not sure why because I quite like them.  Its hard to tell but the DP behind the image is an embossed blue and white feather pattern, which helps tie into the animal challenge!

Looking forward to seeing what you all create this week.  Head on over to the challenge blog for more details.
The Design Team are awaiting your visits, we are working in teams, I update my sidebar to show you the teams really soon.

Buttons and Babies

We got a late start this week over at Aifactory.  This worked out well for me as it meant I could clean out my craft room.. (yet again).  I found some missing Soufle pens at the back of the cupboard (thank goodness).  I sorted stamps and rearranged shelves.  I should take photo's of my room!

Over at Aifactory this week its all about Buttons, we were given images from the following sets, both available at the Aifactory Vault.
And then the Design Team was assigned a set to play with.  I got the Baby Set and chose to use the images of the baby clothes hanging on the clothes line.

The prize for the lucky winner at the Aifactory challenge this week will be your choice of one of the above sets!  How wonderful is that.  So get your creative juices flowing and start creating..
Don't forget... ADD A BUTTON!
We would love to see your creations using Aifactory images, this isnt compulsory but its easy as you can grab any freebie you wish from the Aivault.
When tagging your photo's in gallery's please use the link of AIF034 or Aifactory 34 so we can find your projects easily.  To be in for a chance to win one of the sets above though, link your project to the
