Cooking it up with Katie - Purple, Ribbon Sentiment

I am very excited that Katie, from Cooking it up let me back onto her DT after a year off from craft.  I love her recipes and the challenges and she always keeps you thinking.  I am off to a 3 year olds birthday on saturday and she loves chocolate, so this little present is to go with her actual gift.. which I am yet to purchase.   I have already made this 3yr old a card so I wanted to think outside the box so to speak!
Although we are sponsored this week we got to use any image we owned in our personal collections... this was a hard choice as I own quite a few images!  I think this Meljen image suits the box perfectly.

This little box is only 7cm by 5cm by 2cm and I think I got the file from Paperthreads who have many die cutting files for sale.

This week we are sponsored by Gingerloft, please stop by their blog and have a look around.

Dont forget the recipe.  PURPLE, RIBBON and SENTIMENT and head on over to Cooking it up with Katie to link up!

I think it's appropriate to pop this in the Pile it on challenge this week for B is for anything starting with B. So my Birthday Box is off to be linked on this challenge too.

Inspirational Card Sketches #128

I was looking at some more challenge blogs earlier and found one of my old favourites, I love SKETCH challenges.   Add to my joy that ICS is also holding a DT call and I am doubly happy.
I started making this card in browns and it just wasnt singing to me.. i decided it needed colour and got out the compresser and airbrush (hard work..it was only under the desk...i make it sound like it was a real ordeal) and coloured the white cuttlebugged circle with blue, it immediately lifted the card.  Then came the papers and colour choices for the rest of the card.  I seem to be in a bit of a baby card theme of late and yet I know absolutely no one that is due to have a bub!

Ill have to edit the watermark.. I Inadvertently put 127 when the challenge is 128..
